With there being three different parts to our wedding day, we also chose to have three lots of gifts for our guests.

With the gift for the thai wedding in the morning we wanted to show the skill and craftmanship of the traditional "Paung Malai" (Garland) makers. However, the malai in this case was a more complicated one in the shape of a squirrel. A variety of flowers, such as Jasmine, Gardinia and Jasmine leaves or Rose petals are often used in making "Paung Malai", which are threaded onto twigs and fashions into the intricage shapes of the squirrel. Being such a special type of "Paung Malai" was our way of paying special tribute and thanks to our guests for sharing our special moment with us.

For the church wedding, we wanted to commemorate the joining together of two hearts as one. Fot this we had heart-shaped fancy soaps made in variety of pastel colours we then managed to find a suitably sized clear plastic box to fit them in. We packaged them all up ourselves by hand, with a small laced paper doily to line the package before putting in the two hearts into each box then a silver heart shaped sticker with our names and date of wedding on the outside as well as a length of ribbon to tie it up nicely completed the effect we were looking for.

Finally, the gift we chose for the reception in the evening was a pair of candles in a cylindrical package that had a clear oval window to allow the candles to be seen. The choice of candles was to have the brightness of our future together represented by the flame associated with candles and also to have the length of the candle as a symbol of the length of our cove for each other. Obviously the intention for these gift candles is that the will never be lit, so in effect they are ever lasing like our love.
